Introducing Ourselves
Our Museumsstüberl, located within the Beer and Oktoberfest Museum, resides in Munich’s oldest surviving townhouse at Sterneckerstraße 2. The Edith-Haberland-Wagner Foundation, majority owner of Augustiner Bräu Wagner KG, has lovingly restored this historic building over the years and also operates the museum within.
It’s a truly unique place to stop by - nestled between Marienplatz and Isartor. Even today, you’ll find ceiling paintings dating back to 1340 and former open hearths known as “Schwarze Kuchln,” which can be viewed during a museum visit.
In the various rooms of the Museumsstüberl, guests can enjoy Bavarian specialties and a refreshing Augustiner beer surrounded by impressive historic masonry - or even take a seat at one of our barrel tables. Our guided beer tastings with a certified beer sommelier are especially popular, offering fascinating insights into the brewing process and the rich variety of this beloved beverage.
Team
Our friendly, experienced, and dedicated team looks forward to welcoming you to the Museumsstüberl. With a smile on our faces, we’re here to ensure you have a wonderful time with us—and to make sure your visit or event runs smoothly from start to finish.
